What makes us different?

·         Talbot House is the only drop in centre supporting parent carers of children with learning disabilities in Manchester.

·         You will work with parent carers in 1:1 meetings and at various events like coffee mornings/lunches and really get to know those that you are supporting.

·         Our work, both challenging and rewarding, significantly improves the quality of life of parent carers across Greater Manchester.

 

About us

Talbot House has supported parent/carers of people with learning disabilities for over 40 years.  We offer advice, support and a range of other services in a welcoming and friendly environment – the kettle is always on. 

We are very proud of the warm, caring and professional relationships our staff build with parent carers and other organisations. 

Requirements

·         Experience in supporting people and providing advice and guidance.

·         Understand the importance of treating people with respect.

·         You will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, flexible, honest and trustworthy.

 

If you have a passion for providing support and feel that you have the skills required then we would love to hear from you.  We welcome applicants who are parent carers themselves.
