Talbot House celebrates with a Black Tie Charity Dinner

27th September 2011

On Friday 16th September over 130 people celebrated our 35th anniversary with a memorable Black Tie Charity Dinner at the Midland Hotel, Manchester.

It was a truly spectacular event held in the Trafford Suite and all guests were dressed in their finery, ladies in beautiful evening dresses and the men in smart dinner suits. The occasion was very enjoyable and full of fun.

Local singer Andy Lee entertained everyone with a string of popular songs whilst a sumptuous four course dinner was served. Andy also acted as Master of Ceremonies for the charity auction and raffle which raised a magnificent total of £4728.00 on the night. These much needed funds will help to provide respite breaks for our parent-carers in the coming months.

After all formalities were completed guests were able to dance away the night until after 1am.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Plans are already being put in place for next year’s Gala Dinner which will hopefully be even bigger and better. Details to follow in due course.
