Cheque it out

5th July 2012

Talbot House were presented with a cheque through the fundraising efforts led by Brenda White.

Brenda has worked at Westminster House Admin department which is part of the Halifax for over 30 years and is also the Personal Assistant (P.A.) to Geoffery Wood, the son of our very own Bernie Wood.

Brenda and staff at Westminster House fundraised for Talbot House and Manchester Dogs Home by having a cake sale, a book sale and a dress down day. All this took place on St Georges day Monday 23rd April 2012.

They raised a whopping £250 which was also match by the Halifax, who are part of the Lloyds banking group, bringing the grand total to £500. Brenda said "I was over the moon with the amount and the fact that Halifax were kind enough to match it. Thanks to all the staff it was a great effort".
