On Friday the 15th March 2013 Talbot House held it's monthly carers lunch which is a day where parents can come together and enjoy each others company and enjoy a sumptuous lunch and leave the caring behind.

This time it was a little different as we had two suprise visitors Mrs Lucy Powell the new central Manchester MP and Mr Andy Burnham the Shadow Secretary of Health. They had a chat with the parents and a tour of Talbot House.

Later they had a chat with Bernie Wood and staff where they really gained knowledge of the valuable work and support that comes from Talbot House. Bernie's 'few' words have now created an invite to join the Select Committee at Parliament.......watch this space.
