Manchester 10k run
Raising much needed funds for worthy causes is a vital ingredient of the Bupa Great Run Series - last year the runners raised millions for a wide range of charities.
Join Talbot House on the 20th May 2012 to take part in the Manchester Bupa 10k run and raise money to help us continue our work.
The Bupa Great Manchester Run is staged over a course of 10km, which has been officially measured and certified.
The map below relates to the 2011 course and the one used in 2012 may be different.
The 2011 start line was on Portland Street near the junction with Oxford Street while the finish line was on Deansgate.
There was an Aqua-Pura water station on the course at approximately 5km, near to Old Trafford. Other facilities for runners in 2011 included the “run-through" shower just before the end of Trafford Wharf Road at around the 6.5km point.
In addition, there were several Bands on the Run positions throughout the course to ensure runners received that all-important musical boost at regular intervals.
